As a proud University of Dallas alum and the mom of two current students, allow me to share the link to a video on UD:

UD video

This 15-minute video captures the essence of UD: the core, the Catholic identity, the Rome program, the UD family. It was made by two 2006 graduates – but is amazingly professional. I encourage any of you with high school students (or even younger kids) to watch the video and check out the school (Universtiy of Dallas).

For those of you with high school juniors, there is a scholarship competition that’s tied in to a campus visit on one of two specified weekends (the first is Feb. 23-24). For details, go to:

My husband and I graduated from UD too! How wonderful that you have children there now. My parents are alumni as well and we're hoping some of our children will be someday.

Wow! More UD alums! You know, when my oldest was applying to colleges, UD was a natural choice. . . because of how I homeschooled her. And my homeschooling methods were. . . greatly influenced by my years at UD!

I guess it shouldn't have been a big surprise, but I had never really stopped to think about how my own college education had shaped my homeschooling.
