Hi!
Are any of you planning to use High School of Your Dreams in the Fall? If you are interested in sharing, I would very much like to hear what your plans are. We are gearing up to have our oldest begin high school soon, and I have been a little nervous about purchasing this resource, as our finances our tight and I'm not sure if I will like it (I wish there were actual sample pages at the CHC website).

Tea --
I am planning to use it and will share my "schedule" as soon as I write one up -- I'll be using it for my 10th grader and 12th grader.
You might email CHC and ask them to post some samples -- they're very easy to work with and are usually quite willing to show you what you'll buy (before buying).

We're planning to use it this fall. Tentative classes:
World Literature/English grammar
World History
Algebra I
Foreign Language using Rosetta Stone (tbd)
Religion (Didache series, plus Lifework)
Earth Science
PE/Health
Computer classes at our community college (they have homeschool classes, ds wants to try computer repair)
Miscellaneous extras via Boy Scout merit badges
I'm still debating about a math textbook.
All suggestions welcome!

We'll be using it as well, though I have to still find it (bought it), sit down, and plan with it....within two weeks. Ugh! I do have much already floating in my head.

Devin and I are hoping to have HSOYD 9th grade in good shape by the end of the month with a start date of July 1. It will be fun to share our ideas here.
Love,

We plan to use it NEXT year, but I've purchased it already! My 8th grade daughter will "practice" keeping track of her time this year, so when it becomes a necessity she will have it down...looking forward to doing "Lifeworks" this year to help plan a course of study. One recommendation they make which we are using for some of our "starting points" is the badge series in "Pilgrims of the Holy Family"...knowing what we have to accomplish makes it all the easier to plan out what we need to do.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you who are the first set of "guinea pigs" this year!
God bless,
Laurel in PA

Laurel,
How are you using Pilgrims of the Holy Family? To be honest, I kinda wrote that off because I never really understood what you were supposed to do with it. I am interested to know what you're plans will be with it.
TIA! Blessings,
Tea
