Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

If they haven't already, someday your older kids will want to surf youtube and a growing network of Catholic teen vloggers is developing and may interest you (story follows). If you are on facebook think about "liking" New Catholic Generation as reference and also to help them gain exposure on EWTN. They need 400 likes before the producers will talk to them. They only need a dozen or so more to move forward.

A year ago, on the same day, two young people...Renee a 16 year old and Leah a 20 year old (my dd), who did not know each other started Catholic vlogs for teens following the Pope's call to youth to use technology to evangelize. They found each other within a week and this has grown into a fairly big network of amazing Catholic kids who vlog stuff that you would actually let your kids watch. Here are two examples -

Renee is now a senior and most of her videos are serious. She attends a small Catholic school started by some TAC graduates. This particular video is lighter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtVHD1j-Pnk&feature=plcp and is a bit of a spoof on all of the hair tutorials that other young people put on youtube.

Leah is now a postulant with the Dominican Sisters in Ann Arbor. Her videos vary from serious to humorous. In this one she plays three different characters to appeal to younger kids and non-Catholics the Memorare This one starts off funny and becomes serious.

How neat! I cannot wait to show my girls the vlog, as they love technology. Bridget
