Could we list study guides that we have had success with?
I will begin with this list:
Tale of Two Cities - Progeny Press
Julius Caesar - Hillside Education
Murder in the Cathedal - CHC
Ballad of the White Horse - CHC
Horatio at the Bridge - Memoria Press
Midsummer Night's Dream- Novel Units (from Rainbow Resource)
Animal Farm - Portals to Literature (from Rainbow Resource)
Any other suggestions? Especially for "The Illiad" or other classics or high school literature?
BLessings,
Stephanie

Great idea, Stephanie! I've found Kolbe's guide for Screwtape Letters to be very helpful (it's in the Jr High lit guide). Anybody have any other tips on CS Lewis guides?

I just ordered a Hamlet study guide from Hewitt Homeschooling. I'll let you know when it arrives! (It looks pretty good from the sample pages, and I'm pretty familiar with Hamlet.)

I used Total Language Plus Guides this past year. I used the one for American Short Stories and a Poetry one. They are christian and pretty good. I didn't use them completely though, mostly as a supplement to our Am Lit Text.SMARR guides look good, but I haven't used them. I also love the free ones like sparknotes and cliffnotes.
