I have bookmarked from a long time ago Macbeth's recommendation of The Way Life Works: The Science Lover's Illustrated Guide...

When I went to order it from Amazon today, I noticed another book from the same author that is also highly recommended, but quite a bit more expensive. Does anyone know if these books cover the same information or if one is more detailed than the other? I am looking for biology resource books to have on our shelf when we begin MODG's Biology course using All Creatures Great and Small this fall. I have heard that Biology The Easy Way is not always the best resource to answer the questions posed in the syllabus and would like to be prepared.

I'm on the road, and have crummy internet, Books, but the brief answer is that the version I list is simpler. It is written for non majors. It's a good spine; fill the gaps with living books(withtea) .
