one of the most exciting and "treasurable" gifts I got for Christmas were three wooden angels made by 3rd ds. He cut and painted them all himself using a picture of an Angel in the Jan Brett Christmas book. Then his sister(15) helped him to cloth cover one of those cheapy boxes with beautiful fabric. When I opened the box I just saw one angel smilingly nestled in red tissue so I was astonished to discover two more treasures. I really don't know how he found the time and that was the bigger treasure. You see all Advent with dh away all that time and his oldest sister chronically ill and in and out of hospital needing me at all times of the day and night he had many times been left in charge of home and his two little brothers. Yet in the so few to be almost non-existant times he could have spent doing "me -stuff", he elected to make this precious gift.
