MacBeth, How is Trip liking the routine of school? Is he still glad with his decision? How is it going for the family?

Hey Jennifer! Hope you folks are all well!!
Trip is doing quite well. We got his interim report today, and he made the honor roll! I am still stunned that he is getting his best grades in social studies and scripture history...though he is not at all doing poorly in his math and science studies, either.
This past weekend, he was the only string player to be invited to represent the orchestra at the open house for perspective students. His music teacher loves him, and that helps to make his days fun. Overall, he seems to be enjoying the whole experience...but he only laughs whenever I ask if he plans to stay there for the next few years!

Sounds like things are going quite well for now, then. It will be interesting to see how long he decides to stick with it. Glad the music is a high point for him...

Trip came home yesterday smiling...it seems that his religion class was chosen (as it is the honors class) to be observed by our Bishop tomorrow, and the class members will be allowed to ask questions. Here's Trip's:
Given the rumors about a Pope Benedict XVI declaring a universal indult for the Tridentine Mass, do you foresee making the Tridentine Mass more available to those who prefer to assist at the old Mass?
I can't wait fo the answer...

How many people can even FRAME that question, never mind have the confidence to ask it? Please share the answer!
I've been thinking of Trip often, connected to my many thoughts on having a Freshman in the house. I'm so proud of Trip (and his family) and am enjoying his adventure. This time of transition is SO fascinating!
Love,

I love his question - and it sounds like he is doing very well.

Meant to tell you this yesterday... Trip did not get to ask his question . Bishop Murphy only had time for two questions. I said, "Let me guess the first question: 'How did you get to be bishop?'"
Trip started laughing. "How did you know?"
I shrugged and shook my head sadly.
The second question was something like, "What is the difference between a bishop and archbishop?" Trip said he was glad that questioning ended, as he figured that no one would know what he was asking, anyway.
OTOH, when the Bishop visits, the boys get no homework.

Oh, MAN, I would have loved to have seen/heard the Bishop's response to Trip's question...if only...
