I dont know if this is the right forum to put this in. Feel free to move it, if it isnt. This website has free downloadable audio books for kids. A lot of the classics are from the fairy books by Andrew Lang. They have A Christmas Carol By Charles Dickens. They are working on getting the entire unabridged version of Alice in Wonderland but for now only has the first chapter. We listened to Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the first part of Jack and the Beanstock. We liked it and the best part, it's FREE. They also have stories by Hans Christian Andersen, Perrault and the Bro's Grimm and much more. They add one new story a week. Check it out!

On another CM list I was given a link to free, public domain audio books. It's librivox.org. I downloaded Aesop's Fables, An Island Story and The Wind in the Willows. The sound quality was great.

I'm going to go look at storynory.com now. Thanks!

There's one more site I found this week that is worth mentioning...even though it's not free. www.alcazaraudioworks.com/ sells many classic books on CD for very reasonable prices. Our family uses the Ambleside curriculum and I'm stocking up with school books on CD in anticiption of the arrival of baby #5 this spring.
