Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was wondering if anyone has come across software or printables for recordkeeping that would help me solve the following problem -- we write down much of what we do each day, but I'd say 70% of what we do falls under more than one subject category.

I'd love something where I could write down/type in the activity ONCE, then somehow check off that it covered art, science AND history!

My state requires proof of "regular and thorough instruction" so an end of the day recap of what went on has served us well in that regard, since so much of what we do is discussion - there's nothing to show for that unless I write down that we did it! I've been using the typical teachers planner where the days go across and the subjects are listed vertically, with nice little boxes to fill in.    Guess I'm just lazy, but I want to make it obvious that our history was ALSO about religion, or our discussion of Galileo covered science, history and religion -- without having to write it three times in each box.

I think this comes from getting less "obvious schooling" done since the baby was born (ummmm, a year ago ) - my planner has too much white space and it looks like I'm doing even less than I really am!

So if you've read through my babble do you know of any record keeping software/paper planners like that?

Thanks! (and Happy Mother's Day to all!)

Amy,

Check out Homeschool Tracker. They have a free downloadable version. I think it might be able to do what you are looking for.

God bless,
