Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone know if Sonlight has booklists available anywhere? Do I need to have a catalog sent? FIAR has booklists that are easy to print, thats what I was hoping to find with Sonlight.

Bridget,
I would order the catalog because it's a great referencs and easier to navigate than the site. That said, for instant gratification, go to Sonlight books and click on both the read alouds and the readers. That is the essential booklist for every grade level. You can also click through by subject matter. Be sure to cross-check with the SL-Catholic archives. Or...ask here, since both Jerin and Bookwithtea are Sonlight experts. Lissa and I have pretty much been through the entire list too.

Thanks! I'm going to have a hard time keeping my oldest supplied with reading. He has read everything in the house over and over!

All my school book money for next year is going to have to go to living books for him. Well, some for the others, but our library is sadly lacking for the older kids.

Stacks of new books are occasions for great joy around here so it will be big fun!

That's the status quo here too Bridget!! My dd 10 will be reading her way through a Sonlight list as well as Real Learning lists, and anything we can find at the library to go along with our current time for history!! I LOVE my Sonlight catalog

I know I sound like a broken record, but I can't say enough about some of the Sonlight choices. I'm always "impressed" when I can barely finish a read aloud because I'm crying! We just finished "The Year of Miss Agnes" (great homeschooling book) and are working on "Mountain Born." What treasures! I would not have known about these books without the Sonlight catalog.

What time period are you considering? I've used most of pk through core 6 and am familiar with the books that can be problematic, even in the cores I haven't used, from time spent on the SL Cath list. Let me know if I can help!

I also second Elizabeth's suggestion to get a catalogue. Its much easier to navigate than their website and is an enjoyable read with a cuppa.
