Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Last night I started browsing through my Mosaic books, to plan ahead for Advent. I saw that a few books in Christmas Mosaic (on the list, not featured) are referrenced as being in the regular Catholic Mosaic book, but I can't find them. Can you help? I'm looking for
"The Little Match Girl"
and "The Last Straw"

Gina, I shop used books all the time. Two sites I use most frequently:

bookfinder.com
used.addall.com

Bookfinder will include the price with shipping, AddAll just shows the book price. Generally used books will cost $4.00 to ship...give or take a little.

Both sites search a variety of used bookstores, including alibris, Biblio, and abebooks, but I have found that if search individually on these sites that I might get more hits than just using the big search engine.

I found both books easily, readily available for 99 cents and more.

I also passed up a few copies in my local used bookstore...perhaps you have a place nearby?

Gina,

I am not sure what you are asking, but "The Little Match Girl" is listed in January if that is what you mean. I don't have my books in front of me, but "The Last Straw" I believe is listed in December. That is the one about the camel, right?

They are both featured in January in Catholic Mosaic.

The Little Match Girl (Rachel Isadora), pg. 46-48
The Last Straw (Fredrick Thury), pg. 49-51

Jennifer, thanks for the used books sites! I will use those often from now on.
