Actually the PNEU wasn't a school it was a parent's union (Parent's National Education Union) started in by Dorthea Steinthal and Charlotte Mason under which brick and mortar schools were later formed.

Here they discussed the possibility of forming an active, outgoing society of parents in Bradford. Charlotte had drawn up a scheme for a parents' educational union. Written on a single sheet of foolscap paper the plan outlined both a method of home education and training for teachers." The Story of Charlotte Mason by Essex Cholmonley


The Parent's Review magazine was published under the PNEU and a few years later the PUS correspondence school( i.e. a homeschool program) was established.
