Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what subjects are right brain and left brain subjects so I can alternate my subjects accordingly.
TIA!

I hesitate to answer because I read about this so long ago I think my memory is a bit rusty. But, I'll give it a shot.
Please someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.
Left brain - math, spelling, grammar, scientific facts, history dates

Right brain - art, story writing, music, picture-narrations, nature study, applying hisorical fiction to the time period

I think, while some subjects tend to be right or left brained, it's more the method that counts. For instance, math is more of a left brained subject usually (memorization, specific sequence of things, etc.) but it can be taught in a right brained way. (I think Montessori appeals to the right brain more for math.)
Spelling is left brained if it's memorization, but having the child picture the word in a creative way uses the right brain.

Hope that helps a little.

The Wikipedia article for this is well attributed so..

Left hemisphere

-direct fact retrieval - drills of any type

- numerical computation: exact calculation [tends to be memory work]

-language: grammar/vocabulary, literal [again this tends to be memory work

Right hemisphere

numerical computation: approximate calculation [about how big?, about how much?]

language: intonation/accentuation, prosody, pragmatic, contextual

Very few subjects, aside from straight drill, are truly right or left brained. Most subjects require the person use facts they already know (left brained) as well as higher level language skills such as following directions and composing original sentences(right brained)

*Also* some of this does depend on the person

18.8% of left-handed people have right-hemisphere dominance for language

19.8% of the left-handed have bilateral language functions

with the remainder having left-hemisphere dominance for language

[In comparison 95% of right handed men and 90% of right handed women have left-hemisphere dominance for language.]
