Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone read this? If so, can you tell me more about it? I can't find a decent description online that is more than about 5 lines. I'm working on dd's 1st year of Lit for the Young Lady for next fall, and I may only have room for this or The Importance of being Earnest. I know more about the latter, so I'm kind of up in the air about it. Can you tell me a bit more about this book and help me make a decision?

Oh my. The language is more archaic than I was expecting.

Does anyone want to suggest an age that they think a good reader could understand this?
