Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How would you include these in workboxes? Would you put in a card or have a place for the chores supplies on or near the shelf?

I often put a card with directions on it inside our workboxes.    Or a card with directions and a tool that might be needed for a chore...

Last year I wasn't able to add chores to our workboxes. Mostly because our school room is in the basement and I wasn't upstairs to supervise the chores that were (supposed) to be getting done! I set up a second system for chores, on a much simpler level. I used a bulletin board with hooks for each child. Each day I hung cards (colored coded for each child) with each of the different chores that child had to do on them. As he or she finished a chore, the child would put that card in a "finished" basket. I've always used chore charts so I thought this might be "overkill", but my kids loved it. I think having a card to put in the "finished basket" was motivational. Once again though, I had to be prepared. If I didn't have thier chore cards on their hooks, they thought they didn't have any chores for the day!
