Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just received three products from CHC that were made by Jody's Hands On Learning. They are wonderful! I ordered Montessori on a Shoestring and both sets of the All Things Catholic 3 Part Cards. I've always been a bit scared of using Montessori things-I didn't want to do it wrong! But I am very pleased with these and they are so easy to use.

I'm sure Jody will be pleased to hear this - she's a member here, in case you didn't know.

I'm saving up to buy the apostles set for my girls to finish up the year of St. Paul. They are so excited!

BTW A bunch of my HS friends in our coop have gotten the Mass cards and they rant and rave about now awesome they are.

Great Job Jody

Jennifer, thank you for posting this! I have never seen Jody's site. How could I have gone this long without discovering it?! Beautiful, fabulous learning products! I can't wait. June is when my budget allows schooling purchases...

Jody's book was recommended to me by a friend who purchased it at the Saint Louis homeschool conference. I am hoping to buy it in June too. Jody - are the materials easy to make? I sometimes feel overwhelmed when it comes to making things - not over crafty.

I am not a Montessori purist but we have some Montessori type activities that my children have used when younger - now my 21 month old is doing really well with them. I have been wanting to post for a while - he is quite unsettled when he wakes up, so I just sit him at the kitchen table with some activities (pouring, sorting etc) and it really helps ease him into the mornings. (and I can get my cup of tea)I want to get some more materials - but the cost at Montessori suppliers is so prohibitive.

Hi Marilyn,

Yes the activities are easy to make (at least I think so and I hope you do too). You can check it out for yourself by going to my site. I have 3 sample activities that you can see, so you can get a feel for how the book is laid out.

First click here, Montessori on a shoestring   Now just scroll down the page until you see me sitting in a little pink car . Then click on the car to "take it for a test drive" and view the samples!

I hope this helps!

Jody

Thank you Jody - I had not realized I could check out samples.

I hope I get to meet you at the IHM - though with a newborn (not yet arrived, dance recital that day, soccer tournament practice etc etc - and not sure if my husband is in town - I am not making any plans yet

Is Jody still in business? I've been trying to go to her website, but I can't pull it up. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Pat

None of the links to her site work , and she hasn't posted here in quite a while. Since she's a member here, you might try pm'ing her to ask, or perhaps she'll respond since you asked a question on this thread, and she's posted here in the past.

The business is closed, but Catholic Heritage Curriculum sells her Montessori on a Shoestring as an e-book.

Sorry ladies, just seeing this now. I haven't been at the computer in awhile.

Jennifer is right. Our business is closed unfortunately. So sorry for any inconvenience. And yes, Catholic Heritagae is selling Montessori on a shoestring as an e-book.

Blessings to all of you,
