Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've seen Montessori Great Lessons reference a few times... would somebody mind explaining them to me? Any favorite links that describe them, perhaps? Thanks!

Okay. Moments after I posted that question I found this link, which was quite helpful. It might be helpful to anyone else who's curious.

We do this. I do the science one every year (the coming of the world). Since then I have added another lesson every year, until we do all five every year. I haven't done the coming of Math yet this year, but we really enjoy this time. Each year they find something new on the time lines. I like Barbara's web site. http://missbarbara.net/greatlessons.html
Creating the timelines were very time consuming, but work out great and give perspective that a small sheet of paper couldn't for my kids.

Moteaco has a set as well.

I have adapted God with No Hands (aka the Coming of the Universe/Earth as I've seen it called elsewhere), in order to avoid the discussion at that moment of millions of years or something shorter. I am happy to share the ones I have done (I have to re-write two more as well).
