Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi!
My family may be traveling to Chicago this weekend for 4-5 days and I'm looking for suggestions of activities to do with the children (7, 5, 3 & 2). No other adult will be helping during our daytime excursions.

Thanks for any input.

Sears Tower? There are lots of natural history museums, I think. Gosh, I haven't been to Chicago in so long (last time I went was well before I was married...that was at least 14 years ago!) I practically don't remember what's there to do. Don't lose anyone and be careful, it's a big city!

Hi, Marie,

I would not miss either:
Science & Industry Museum
http://www.msichicago.org/

Field Museum of Natural History http://www.fieldmuseum.org/     (wh ere dinosaur Sue bones are on display) Look at the website because there are still discount days

Art Museum (absolutely world class)
http://www.artic.edu/aic/

Even though I haven't lived in the Chicago area for 13 years now, I still remember these museums from school field trips as a child.

Also, do a search on this 4 real site and type in "Chicago" as we've advised other Chicago travelers in the past

Godspeed on your travels and

The Children's Museum was at the Navy Pier when we were there a year or so ago. My children loved it but were a touch younger 6, 4, and baby.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. Our trip fell through but we're thinking of going next year so I'll keep all the ideas in mind.
