Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Thanks, Theresa! It looks interesting. (I also fixed the link since it was adding a space because it was so long.)

Wow, those do look cool. I can see doing one for each child, with the older children keeping track of their own work and experiences.

Thanks for posting that!

Those look great! They even look like something that an unschooler could easily use to categorize more non-traditional learning. I really like the categories in addition to the more generic "what I did today" section. I'll have to think about adding this to the wish list!

I like the look of these. My 'pocketbook friendly' side says, 'hey, I could make those!'

My 'pocketbook friendly' side did make one of those

I don't have it posted anywhere, but I could email it to you as a Word document if you'd like to see it.

Well, I just ordered two. One for me to keep track of JBug's work, another for Superboy to keep track of his own. We won't be using them for planning since Sb is unschooling, but more of a record-book so we can chronicle our days.
I'll let you know how they look when we get them!

Theresa, I'm sure you'll like them. I've used them for two years and have 4 left. And I recently bought the Good News planners.

I also have several wall calendars and I alphabetize my movies and cd's.....

I used to do this up to the time we had 2 kids (I even catalogued contents of CDs onto spreadsheets, etc. -- crazy, I know). Then we had 3, and that was it. We're lucky these days if the DVDs are even in their cases, much less alphabetized.

Don't you think it's fair to say that many of us homeschoolers are a bit on the weird side? I say that with a huge grin, thinking of myself and my lists and my filing systems (oh, and my love for planning that exceeds even my love for teaching).

My dh calls it my frustrated librarian side. Did we ALL want to be librarians at some stage?

I just told my husband the other night that when I grow up I want to be a librarian-it is my dream job!

I routinely tell my children that they'd have a pitifully boring life if they didn't have such a weird mother.

My kids now want to be librarians.

Ha! My kids want to go live out in the woods, surviving off berries and nuts. I tell them they'd find more nuts in the house than out!LOL!

What are you talking about? I am trying to be a librarian! (How else to explain the hundreds (thousands?) of books in the house, just waiting to be catalogued and labeled?)
