I just found a neat type of folder on an email list (someone linked), and they're expensive! I was wondering if anyone's ever seen anything like this for cheaper at an office store or somewhere???? I think these would be very helpful to me, but they're backordered, AND they're $4.99 PLUS $5.99 s&h for only 3 folders!!!
I'm not quite sure how to make them either and make them lie flat, and not buckle.
Store It File Folders
Thanks!

Oh those look so great for cut outs and when you have to put away your art that you cannot finish. Hhmm. More to think about

I've made those for my file folder games (never thought about selling them...hmmm...)
You need two folders.
Open one, then lay the other on top so that it overlaps one side. (It will look like a three-flap book/lap book).
Close the left "flap" and glue or staple the short sides. I keep the pieces/patterns in the inside pocket, and the instructions/presentation in the outside pocket.
You might need to trim the edges of the "inside folder" so it slides in and out easily, if you want it removable. Or you could just staple it all and have a pocket with a flap.
I hope that made sense!
Here's a YouTube of how to make a pocket from file folders, that you could adapt.

Thank You for that youtube link!!!! It is so helpful I am such a visual learner and this helps me with so much, I will probably be looking at them all day. I love the idea of lapbooks. And my girls are so excited.
I LOVE THIS FORUM!!!
