Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Well, finally we can make the announcement. The last issue of Heart & Mind came out recently and it is becoming a new magazine with a new editor and publisher . . . Hillside and me, and a bunch of other really cool ladies. Please check out the new website.

Please consider subscribing! Totally Catholic, totally homeschooling, totally wonderful!

Does anyone know anything about this magazine? A friend of mine was curious because they seem to have a Christian message but she didn't want to subscribe to anything anti-Catholic. Any thoughts? Suggestions for other/better choices?

I used to subscribe to this magazine....before I became Catholic. I stopped. Don't you do it either.

Hi Tricia,
Yes we can post to Australia. I've been thinking about what would be the best way to get it to you guys down there. Here are a couple of options:

1.)I could take orders, but send them to one address and then have one person forward them on once in Australia

2.) I could send them electronically to someone and have them printed there

3.) Or you could receive them electronically (not as fun, I know as opening the post box and finding it there).

Let me know what you think is the best way.
God bless
Margot

WE need some contributions for the upcoming issue. Alice Gunther is writing an article about opening the school year in a special way, and we really wanted to have a page devoted to reporting on what readers/contributors do to start the school year off.

Do you have a special tradition you keep? You can PM me with it or go the magazine website and click on input from readers to find out how to submit your ideas.

Thanks!!!
Margot

YES, Anna does know about it. I'm pretty sure she thinks it ought to be a print version for you guys. Here's my idea . . .let me know what you think.

I can send as many copies as people order in a flat rate envelope to Anna. Then she can distribute them once they are in Australia. Doing it that way would only add a few dollars to the price.

I can send them electronically to you pretty easily, if you prefer and reduce the price a bit (maybe that's more attractive).

You have a while to decide. The first issue won't be ready until July.

What a great title! My eldest, a first grader, is learning latin (prima latina) so maybe seeing it in print as the title of a magazine will convince him that I am really both, mater and magistra!
