Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'd like to incorporate daily World News reading into our school year for my 12yo son. I'll have him read the News and locate the region on a map. So many News internet sites are often inappropriate for little ones. Do you have any favorites geared towards children? Or perhaps Catholic sites?

We subscribe to Catholic World Report which is very solid and orthodox but still adult. Our 17 yo reads it and it reports a lot of what is going on in the world from the Catholic perspective. There is much more world news than in your typical news magazines or newspapers.

We also subscribe for $10 contribution to a newsletter from a group of lawyers desiring to build a New Christendom. It gives a very unique perspective and I haven't found anything that I wouldn't want a 12 yo to read. However, it is not as documented in the newsletter, although there are other publications.

I hope this gives you some ideas.

Janet

Thanks, Janet . I'll take a look at Catholic World Report...I really do prefer a Catholic viewpoint.
