This is only my second year homeschooling so I would really appreciate any advice.
My kids are 6yo boy, 4 1/2yo girl, and 1 1/2yo wall-climbing boy. My 6yo did K last year and did really well. We totally finished Little Stories for Little Folks and almost finished MUS Primer level. My 4 1/2yo insists on being included in all school work.
This year we will be doing 1st grade and starting K with DD.
DD will be starting Little Stories for Little Folks and MUS Primer.
1st grade DS will be using My Very First Catholic Speller and MUS Alpha and Writing Can Help.
All together we will be using Catholic Math Activities (maybe, I haven't bought it yet), St. Joseph First Communion Catechism for memory work, Big Book of Catholic Activities and working with a Liturgical wheel for the first time, CHC's Bible timeline project (I have no room for a timeline, any suggestions?), Art with a Purpose, Usborne's Art Treasury for Art Appreciation, and Story of the World.
Am I missing anything? Do I have too much? All thoughts are welcome!!

Immersion in lots of wonderful literature, picture books and chapter. 
Can your timeline run up your hallway? Assuming you have a hallway, maybe around the dc's bedroom wall?

Wow! Sounds like a fun year! Just stay relaxed and make sure there's plenty of lap reading time with awesome books and you'll do fine!
I am blessed with a beautiful home that is very open - no walls for timelines!  I use fan fold paper, the kind that used to be in those old computer printers a million years ago. You can still find it at office supply places. It's the paper that is all attached (but perforated so it folds) and usually has these little punched strips that are on the sides that was used to feed the paper through the teeth on the old printers. I pencil in 50 years per page. Then, we can unfold it down the hallway for effect, but when my dc are working on it, we fold it up to a more manageable size and put it on the kitchen table for illustrating and writing on.

Your suggestions look great! I would also suggest leaving some time to follow rabbit trails and put away the curriculum, if you find a topic or subject in which your children become really interested. Feel free to leave plans for awhile and explore, then come back to the curricula - this is half the fun of homeschooling! 
Years ago, we had a timeline in a folder - each page showed a certain spread of years. A bit like a Book of the Centuries. Would this work with the Bible timeline?

I think your kiddos could still wait a year or two on Story of the World. If I had those same ages, I'd use FIAR/Catholic Mosaic instead (Mosaic can easily be rowed like FIAR for more than the religious topics). Everything looks great!

I love the idea of folding up the timeline!We are going to be making a timeline with our History and our classical composers studies! I am using Catholic Mosaic ( thrilled with the books!) but what is FIAR? ( I am new here) Thanks! Looking forward to lots of wisdom on this board.

Hi, Emily!!! FIAR is Five in a Row. It's a neat curriculum like Catholic Mosaic--using picture books to teach various subjects.

If I remember rightly, CHC has you take certain pages out of the children's bible and put them on a colored background (card stock). You can put them up to make a timeline, but also they have you shuffle them up sometimes and see if your kids can put the pictures in chronological order.
What about using some trifold display boards from Wal-Mart (where posterboard is sold) or even a cutting board for dress patterns (Dritz super board)? You could use poster putty to hang up the pictures, and then trifold it and put it away. You'd still be able to take the pictures down when you want the kids to work with them hands-on.
I think the math activities book is great, by the way. I also wouldn't use Story of the World with little kids, but that's just me. Do you have devotional stories for little folks I and II? We just love them.

I second what others have said here: Your plan looks great, but leave plenty of room for taking detours and enjoying the journey; read plenty of picture books and great literature. We haven't used Story of the World, but love FIAR. FIAR is a picture book curricululm. You could use it as a weekly language arts/social studies "curriculum" or as a "school" supplement, or you could use it as a primary curriculum. We tend to use it as a starting point for unit studies (supplementing heavily in the later grades). The manuals provide ideas for language arts, social studies, math, science and art. You can find out more here.

Thanks for all the input!! I've used FIAR before and I was really surprised that my kids didn't like it. We tried several books and by day 3 they were both saying "no, we don't want to hear that book again". Wierdos .
They LOVE unit studies so we do a lot of those--forgot to mention that before.

Many here on this board have mentioned that they may also only 'row' the book for three days. My dc aren't that keen for more than two days either, but I love their booklists

I *never* read the book 5 days in a row. None of my children would enjoy that. The do enjoy reading books over and over again, but that is only with one or two books of their choosing. So we use the FIAR ideas without re-reading. We supplement heavily and usually take more than a week to cover all of the material that we include.
