I'm really keen to try lapbooks, but I am without a doubt the most left brained uncreative homeschooler there ever was!!!

So I was wondering if you can give me a list (or direct me some where)of the activities we can do in a lapbook.
Is it just a case of read a few books, draw a few pictures, narrations, a timeline etc ????

The beauty of lapbooking is that there isn't one way to create them.

Your boys can draw pictures, color specific coloring pictures you've printed, or add a picture that you've printed offline.

You can make lapbooks for each child or one lapbook that each child adds something to. (Narration, copywork, or cutting out info you've provided.)

You can use one folder, two, or more. It's all up to you, and what you're comfortable with.

There are several free lapbooks available online if you'd like to start that way. You could even just look at pictures online and decide what you'd like to include in your lapbook.

We are working on a Busy Bees lapbook now. It will be much simpler than our Memorial Day Lapbook. Most of what is going in it is coloring sheets, a report, bible verses, info on beekeepers, insects having three body parts, hexagons...and cut outs of other polygons, bee hives, a timeline found in a book, our science experiments won't go in

, but info about flowers & pollination will. Foods that contain honey..........just info that came from the books we've read.

Thanks so much Michaela, the How to begin lapbooking site was just the type of thing I was looking for.
I'm feeling much more confident.
We are moving in 10 days, so when we've unpacked I'll be ready!
