Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone here go to the NCHE conference in Winston Salem in May? Can I expect to find any Catholic materials at the bookfair?

Debbie,

I don't know anything about it - do you have a link?

God bless,

Debbie, can't help with Catholic materials but I will be at NCHE! :) Just look for the lady with the deer-in-headlights look in the bookfair! :) Oh, well that will be most of us, won't it?

I'd love to go but I'm not sure what that week holds for us, yet. Michele, I believe the link you need is www.nche.org or maybe nche.com, I can't remember which. It's the state-wide convention for NC. It's had some pretty "interesting" speakers in the past, shall we say.

There are some really good vendors. In the past, Saints and Scholars was a vendor but they haven't been there in a number of years. (I believe they had some health issues.) I'd love for some Catholic folks to be there!

In this state, it seems like the Catholic HSers tend to keep in their own corner rather than mix a great deal with the homeschool leadership of big organizations, IMHO. Things have gotten a bit better in recent years, it appears. FWIW...
