Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This year, I have been throwing away most all worksheets, tests and coloring pages. I keep some special things. It's been difficult, but freeing. I had been holding onto everything, terrified that I would need to prove I was homeschooling.

Now that I am cleaning and organizing during Lent, I feel like I'm missing stacks of paper!

Do you throw much away?

I throw a lot away, but we don't have a lot of paper to begin with. I only keep one sheet of copywork per month. I do keep the RightStart workbooks, but if they do any extra math I don't keep unless it is something special. I also limit the art. If it fits in a folder it is kept. Other wise art can stay on my fridge for a month and then I toss it. Younest ds has a place in his room to hang art and can keep as much that he can fit in that space and the rest is tossed. For writing assignments this year my boys are using a spiral notebook so I'm sure we will keep that. We don't notebook or do lapbooks, so it's not a big problem for us.

Now I'm debating on how much "old" stuff to keep. I've kept everything since first grade and my large plastic container is full. I refuse to have more than one container of old school stuff until we hit high school. I will be downsizing the early years. Our state doesn't say how long we have to keep records on hand. I may struggle with this in May!

Not much! Mainly things I love, and all of their highschool lab books, highschool math books, and online files of the better essays. But I do keep almost ALL of the artwork- that is my soft spot.

All I need to keep is the state test score, attendance and vaccine record. That's why I finally stopped keeping EVERYTHING! It is difficult to throw things away, though.
