This time of the year always has me busily searching for ways to improve our homeschool organization. I came across the idea of a morning board (which I made Catholic) and a mini office. Have you all seen these? I have made one office for my 2nd grader and thinking of new ideas for my 4th and 6th grader. I would love to hear if any of you have made these and see links to them if so. I need fresh ideas for my older ones.

Oh wow...I love this!!!! I haven't made one but I will now! The one thing I would add (if it isn't already on there and I missed it) would be a place to write what is for dinner that night. That is the.question.that.makes.me.crazy to be asked multiple times a day!!!!
Cool!!!!

Kacky,
That is a great idea! I have a small write on board on my morning board, and that would fit along with the saint of the day. Thanks.

Here's a very old blog post with pictures of the boards I made for my kids. The second and third pictures show the boards. Each child has one, although they've changed over the years.

Very cool. I can imagine putting a mini-office in each of my younger kids' book boxes.
Thanks for sharing this idea.

Becky,
Your mini office is beautiful! So many ways to individualize.

Thanks LLMom. I tried to avoid making them for thekids this past year and they all complained. The idea originally developed as a way to keep my kids from bothering each other. Now it's sort of a "first day of school" surprise. It's nice to have the information they need right at eye level.

Becky, I didn't think of doing it as a first day of school surprise, but that would be neat! It's hard to tell but is yours made from poster board or foam board? Mine is small, made from file folders. But I can see how the older children will need a bigger one because of needing more info.

I used the display boards that are often used for science fair projects. They are cardboard and fold into 3 sections. This is similar.

We've been doing a mini office for our dc for two years now and we like it! It's a good thing! I really like the Morning Board! Fun!
