Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh, the beauty of computers and their ability to store, restore and save past work! We've composed lesson plans using Excel for almost a decade now. In spite of losing almost all data on our main computer last year, dh was able to find and restore ALL our lesson plans from past years! I didn't mind reconstructing our Quicken files or losing every single one of our favorites, as long as those lesson plans were still available! This year, time is short and we're doing a few new things, but there are several "Oldies but Goodies" that I'm able to pull up from prior years and plug in to the appropriate child's lesson plans for the coming study year! Oh the time saved and the sheer beauty of it all! Is it possible to love a computer? No! But, I sure DO love my dh who makes such things possible! I have absolutely NO concept of how he programs those little cells to keep track of whatever I enter into them, but I am in complete awe and wonder at how it all works and that we still have ALL that data after the big computer crash of 2010! Thanks be to God!!!!

I can just imagine what a relief this was for you (your husband) to find and restore! And how exciting to already have made the time investment in some good stand-the-test-of-time lesson plans that you can make use of this year! I'm so excited for you, Servant! These kind of unexpected gifts certainly lighten the load!!!!

And computers can be wonderful TOOLS!!!!

Amen to that!

Which reminds me...time to get my lesson plans and other homeschool documents backed up!
