Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I think this year I am going to plan on organizing my home and home school for Lent.

I am not a "natural organizer", so this will be a challenge for me. I am really good and minimal organization and I am also really good at half hearted attempts. My biggest weaknesses are the bedrooms and our school room. I can see my lack of attention to orderly rooms spilling over to my children So I think that is where I'll start.

I think it would be so nice to have tidy organized bedrooms that feel fresh and serene; and a school room with supplies more readily available!

You may find it helpful to break down those tasks into smaller bites.. like doing a set of drawers or the high shelf in closet etc.. that way you set a task you can finish before starting the next.. and even if you can't get through everything.. you're not left with an unworkable mess but you'll have areas that are organized.

What a wonderful plan! I always feel SOOOOO much better after I've been through the kids room with a fine tooth comb! Merciful heavens, does it make a difference in every day cleaning after a thorough deep clean like that!!!! And, of course, a school room refresh will be wonderful now...right before you begin thinking anew of the upcoming year! I can imagine how refreshed you'll feel afterward!

Good luck to you and do check out the threads Angie started offering support and ideas on spring cleaning - both doable and ambitious.

It will be so nice to have it done!
I think I may be successful too, seeing as my boys (10 and 8) have taken on more household chores. They have been doing a very good job and that just gives me a bit of extra time! Everything from dishes, sweeping, general tidy and walking the dog.

I think I will set aside boxes for garbage and recycling!

Oh and quite going to Micheal's...at least for a little while.

Yes! This is also my goal. I'm working on it! It's hard because we have weekend construction going on the house. More chores for the kids. We never have enough TIME!!!!
