I'd love to know if anyone is successfully using an iphone to help plan and organize their days in some way? Any apps to recommend? I have that my phone has had a HUGH impact on my life as far as remembering things, planning, PRAYING on time!
Unfortunately I don't have the iCal I hear so much about, but I find the calendar that comes with the iphone is working well for me, I set alarms for all my prayers for starters, we could never remember to stop in time for the angelus three times a day or the Divine Mercy hour, things like that.
This phone has really become my second brain and mainly with using the calendar app, a great notebook app (I'll come back soon with the exact app name) and then of course, since our prayer life underpins the success of everything or our faithfulness to our daily work, the ipieta is the best Catholic app that has totally changed my life.
The calendar enables me to set alarms for anything booked in, two alarms if needed. For the daily reminders (talking the prayer reminders) I can set it up to automatically do that everyday. Once I get back into the swing of schooling since our renovations break coupled with the Easter holidays, I hope to set reminders for the different blocks of our day, cleaning time, schooling start and finish etc.
Does anyone else have any positive experiences here as well?

Do you have the Use Your Handwriting list app? I just got it. It's going to be great having my lists on the phone instead of keeping it all in my head. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else uses for organization.

i use Google calendar on ours and like it better than the default calendar app. it's a bit of a pain to set up but now that it is i see the family calendar + my college kid + any other calendar i want on there, like my menu planner, etc.
i do the same as you, anne, for praying the LoTH throughout the day -- using the bell tower "alarm". love how i almost feel like i'm in a monastery when it goes off!
some other faves:
iBreviary
iPieta
ShopShop for my grocery list
Toodledo for my to-do-list
i downloaded Intuition and really liked the interface, but it duplicates several apps i already like/have so i had to delete it.
i've heard gobs of positive opinions on evernote but i'm really not impressed. maybe i'm missing something? if anyone has it/loves it, can you share please?

How I use my iPod in our homeschool.
Now, though, my iPod is dead. But I think it's a good thing. I wasn't managing my online time very well at all when I had the working iPod so I'm no longer using it as an organization tool.
I feel that the death of my iPod was God's way of telling me that I wasn't managing my time well and so now I'm back to paper planning.
But for other folks with better control, it is great!

I couldn't live without my iPhone! My favorites are the built-in calendar, 2Do, and Grocery Getter.
