Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I received at note from a Dean at this new college today. It read, in part:

Quote:

I realize this e-mail is somewhat "out of the blue," but as a homeschooling
Catholic and an employee of the USA's newest Catholic college, I did not
think you would mind the message. You may or may not know that Wyoming
Catholic College -- a new four-year integrated liberal arts college that is
joyfully and genuinely Catholic -- is about to begin its first year
(2007-2008) and is currently recruiting students for its freshman class. We
are hoping to attract good, strong, faithful homeschooled students and for
this reason we wanted to inform as many homeschooling organizations as
possible about our existence, our mission, our curriculum, and our
trustworthy Catholic identity. For a clear sense of what we are about,
please have a look at our website: www.wyomingcatholiccollege.com.

If nothing else, check out what they do for nature study. Talk about being surrounded by God's glorious creation!

Wow, Elizabeth, gorgeous! My dh has always wanted us to settle in the West (Wyoming, Montana, Idaho) because it is so beautiful and unpopulated. I've resisted the idea since we'd have no family nearby, but if some of you would move there with me, I'd definitely reconsider!

The school sounds promising...I really hope it succeeds. I would love to see more and more truly Catholic colleges being planted throughout the US, especially since that time is no longer so far off for my daughters.

Elizabeth, I just got off the phone with my senior in high school, horse-loving sister. I might be able to hear tomorrow...maybe
She is way too excited and shrill about that exciting college. For a girl who was thinking of going into equine behavior therapy it is a dream come true.
And she'd have family just over the CO border...
