Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I searched internet but can't find this: anyone know how far a student should go in Saxon Advanced Math text before taking the ACT test. I know the ACT has some trig. . .

Wondering if anyone knows?

DD would be on Saxon Adv. Math lesson 85 when she takes the ACT test - wondering if that is far enough through for the Trig?

My daughter didn't even finish Saxon Algebra 2 before taking the ACT and she scored pretty high in math. So I think middle of Adv. Math would be fine, Barb. If you're concerned just get a practice test and see how she does on the trig portion.

Thanks Jen!

She is concentrating on SAT prep now for taking it in Nov. or Dec and doesn't want to even look at ACT yet! I think by the time she takes ACT in April or June she will be somewhere between L 80 and 90. Which is approx. 3/4th through so should be fine I think!

The book takes so long per day! We started last week and are on about L 35 (started last year and did about 2 lessons per week this summer). She and I really want to keep doing 2 lessons per week till her SAT test as that gives her SAT prep time (Plus time for History, Engl/lit, physics, and tutoring these 2 kids one time per week). She is motivated to prep. for SAT on her own and wants to put time into so I am supporting that! Since she is prepping outside of Saxon math - and will do so for the ACT starting at the latest 2nd semester I too think it is fine!

Nice to get others experiences as to what lessons their kids got through till taking the ACT.

Oh - I did email Mr. Reed and asked him - I will relay any reply I get!

Art Reed emailed back and said she is fine!

Nice relief!

Funny, I do have a college student who went through this - just couldn't remember WHERE in Saxon advanced math he was when he took ACT!
