The book not the movie - anyone have their high schooler read this for literature? If so, what if anything did you assign with it? I am torn between the idea of dd and I reading and discussing and have that be it or have her do an assignment : like answer questions or write a paper.

If anyone did (or planning to do) this book I would love to know what you did (planning)!

One of the moms picked it for our book a couple of months ago. The girls and moms just discussed this one. My dd begged me to not assign writing for this one- just her opinion, so take it for what it is worth, but she didn't find it meaty enough to really write about. Found everything more obvious- not much digging required. But she does tend to like very deep and thoughtful- was reading Crime and Punishment at the same time and really wanted to write about that
