Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hmmm. I linked to a decent book list in your other thread as a starting point. You want a text to guide you through a study?

Seton has a text called World Literature that is an anthology and has some minimum guidance. Some discussion questions and iirc some background info on the works. They have a lesson plan too, but you'd have to pay for the course to get it, which I suppose you don't have to actually use if you don't want to.

Thanks Eva,

We have watched teaching the classics.
I think I am going to go down that path.
I had forgotten about Window to the World.

Its all making sense now.

Must put this in a file

The The Well-trained Mind Forums have lots of information and opinions on "Windows to the World" and similar ones. You don't need to be a member to read over there. Also take a look at Jill Pike, who has written a syllabus for combining "Teaching the Classics" with "Windows to the World."

Eva,

thank you.

I have spend yesterday afternoon doing a lot of research.
IEW was under my nose all along.
We have had major success with this, with writing...DD was a very reluctant writer 4 years ago..another story for another thread...
but i looked at windows to the world and somehow i linked to Jill pykes additional resource.
As we have used teaching the classics, we will overview it and then move through both Jills as she incooporates windows to the world nd her own..

its very exciting really, and I am encouraged by the peace I have about it all.

God bless

leanne

Wishing you good luck with it! I'm planning on using it myself probably next year or the year after.
