Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We need a spruce up of our biology. We are using Apologia (no tomatoes please- it was on the shelf!) but my daughter is finding more breezy and wordy then she would like.

I don't want to sink a bunch of money mid year but I wanted to spruce up the offerings. She is most possibly headed in the math/science/costume design direction (a little bit of a broad spectrum I know) but finds biology a little dull- not enough math in it as she says!

We are just headed into insects etc. but I think she needs a good challenge. She learned mitosis in one sweep when she was 13 out of the same book so I realise I should have thought of that!

Any ideas for some good additions?

I know Theresa is doing a great course...(hint!)

How about using some of the videos from these two sites? I haven't personally used them because we just ordered the book (our family likes Apologia) and will be using them as friends have said they were good additions.
Just pasiing it along.

THanks Misty. We like Apologia, it is just that my dd isn't really being challenged, which is OK as Bio. is definitely her least favourite science!
