Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Adding:

I have Bennetts America The Last best Hope. DD probably would like a more "textbook" like book AND I don't think the "roadmap" website works anymore (if anyone knows for sure let me know!)

Also I have The american Pageant textbook that my son used. I like it and am leaning toward this - I have the text and tests. THe only thing I didn't like is it is 40 chapters and hard to finish. BUT I was thinking the first chapter is so basic that it can be skipped - and other chapters emphasized more or less depending. I tend to school 36 weeks and hate trying to figure out how to speed through 4 chapters or delete others!

I use the CLEP guides as my outline spine, and schedule in Kolbe lesson plans, speivogle (sp!), teaching company DVD/Mp3, and a reading list.

Works for us so far.
