Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm very excited about the courses Rolling Acres School is offering for the Fall and think they dovetail well with the CM approach. We have had the last few children take one or two online courses in high school and while they have worked out well, I'm feeling especially excited about the philosophy and methodology of Rolling Acres. We'll be enrolling our dd in Latin and "Classical Times" in the Fall, and hopefully they'll be offering "The Wonders of Nature" again next year when she's older.

Is anyone else thinking about enrolling on of their dc in a class or two?

I've never seen that resource before.      Good to know for when my DS will be old enough in a year or two.

YES! Here is the link to the Rolling Acres School

Last year my then 10th grade dd took German 1 from Mrs. Rolling over at Homeschool Connections. Now this year the Rollings have started their own online school.

Next year she'll be taking German 2 and my son, who is a rising 9th grader will be taking German 1.

I even put their button on my blog

I was looking for an online German class! It sounds like you would recommend this class?

Tonya...yes I totally recommend it! I haven't found any other German online class for high schoolers either.

Mrs. Rolling is very sweet and gentle. She is also very forgiving! I wasn't keeping up with my dd that she was turning in all of her assignments and boy was I shocked when her semester grade was subpar. However, Mrs. Rolling wrote a note stating that obviously my dd knew her stuff as all quizzes and tests were great, she had forgotten to turn in a handful of homework assignments. She allowed dd to still have access to the website after the class was over as I required dd to go back and finish all that she had missed.

Now I know I need to see her assignment list too ;-)

We both learned some valuable lessons!

We recommend Mrs. Rolling's German class, too.    Mary Grace (13) was the youngest student this past year, but she really felt engaged and fell in love with the German language! It was a gentle introduction to online learning and time-management, too!      She plans on taking German II this fall...(and is excited that your dd will be joining her, Kacky!).
