Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd has been taking German at Homeschool Connections this year. Her German teacher has started her own school, along with her dh, The Rolling Acres School for next year.

I know I have just found a tip of an iceberg, I think , when to comes to finding online courses and such. I wrote a blog poston the links I have so far. I'm hoping you ladies can add some places to check out or review what I have found so far.

I stuck this in the high school thread as this is the age bracket I've been looking for, but I know some of my links are for younger grades too. I'm not interested in my kids taking too much online, I'd just like to know all the options (or as much as my brain can hold on to )

I am very interested in hearing about everyone's experiences with online classes. My dd wants to learn Japanese (she is working at home with books now) and I am looking at options for high school biology, too.

My son is taking a couple of online classes at his community college (sadly, his ancient Greek class was canceled - the online stuff is a substitute) and has had several problems accessing tests. I am hoping that this doesn't happen at the middle school and high school levels...I'm a pretty low-tech person, so it would be hard for me to help her resolve problems with tests and assignments.

It is such a blessing that there are more and more authentically Catholic opportunities out there! My 7th grade daughter has also taken Mrs. Rolling's German class this past year and is very excited to continue with her German studies. She may also begin Latin (again!)...I didn't know about their new venture, so thanks for the heads up, Kacky!

I also have to give a plug for Angelicum's Great Books Program. My oldest daughter (15) has greatly enjoyed the course and plans on continuing with them through her junior and senior year. I count this course as both literature and history on her transcript.

Thanks Erin, I'm a horrible searcher.

Jennifer, isn't it cool our girls have met in their own way too. I always thought it was your 15yold in class. I guess not! I'm excited about Rolling Acres.   DD really likes her class and I was worried it wouldn't continue.
