My son would like to learn more about John Paul the Great Catholic college, anyone know of someone who is attending and how well they work with homeschoolers?

Is this the school in San Diego that focuses especially on media and communications?

If so, I have a friend who homeschooled her ds k through high school and he got in without a problem. I hear he loves it. He was in a charter for high school. I don't know if that affected his ability to get in or not?

I don't know any students there but I have met the director of admissions - he did an information session for our homeschool group. They are very excited to work with Catholic homeschool families. Now, they don't have that much experience working with anyone yet - as they have only been open a few years and had a few admission classes. But they are very non-traditional in many ways which makes them open to homeschoolers. Do you have other specific questions?

Mary, I guess I am wondering about transcript since they require one on their admission site. I tried to find out how they handled homeschoolers but nothing was listed on their site. I will either call or email them for more info. My problem is that this son is a junior this year and he was not going the traditional route for college so I haven't kept up records for him like I should have He is talking about going to this college or another, so now I start grasping for ideas of how to put together a transcript for him. He will have to take the SAT in the fall,because we have not reviewed enough to take it this spring.
I knew I should have kept up with those records! My 2 that have went to college were enrolled with OLVS and so I didn't have to worry about that part but my last 3 wanted unschooling and they all said no college for them so I relaxed....
