Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used this? I was reading throught the archives and trying to determine when is a good time to do it. It says it is for high school, but could you do it before high school (say in late 7th or 8th grade) to be prepared before starting high school? I have a dc that may go to school and I would like to prepare him before hand how to study.

I used it with a high school senior and it was great. It is probably better suited for 8th or early 9th, but this is the year when my 12th grader is catching up on all the bits she somehow avoided along the way. It's very well done.

Peace,
Nancy

I haven't used this with my kids yet, but I got it through interlibrary loan and watched it myself this summer.

I will probably do it with my then-8th grader next year. He could have benefited from it this year if we hadn't already been so busy. I might have him review it again as a junior.

We are doing it right now (video schooling as everyone is ill!) - and I stress again how great it is. My 5th grade twins are watching too and although some of the stuff is not relevant right now to them - they are learning - and there are enought athletics analogies and quotes to keep them interested.

In case you don't know...
Teaching Company is having a big sale on all of their DVD courses (ends Sun. Jan. 17 at midnight). Superstar Student is $100 off, I think. I am planing to order it, plus we have the high school history courses. Anyone reccomend any other Teaching Co courses?
