Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a question about senior year of high school for math. Our son is finishing up TT Geometry.
He has had TT Algebra I and TT Algebra II. I'd like him to have a really nice review of all of this math instead of having him take pre Calculus. I know some people opt for using Advanced Math from Saxon but I haven't looked at it.   He is more literature oriented but would like some reviewing of his math skills which I don't really think is a bad idea!

What would you call a course like this on the transcript?

The Saxon Advanced Math really is a pre-Calc course and it is pretty difficult. It would definitely not be a review of Algebra I and Algebra II. My math-minded kids took it after Saxon Algebra I and II and we ended up having to get a tutor who taught calculus in a local highschool. He was not impressed with the book and thought it taught many concepts that were unnecessary.

There are a few Teaching Company courses that come to mind, particularly
The Joy of Mathematics
and
Mathematics Philosophy and the Real World
You could call them "Applied Mathematics" I think or simply use the titles of the courses as is.
You may want to have your son browse through the math section of the website and see if anything piques his interest. There is a neat sounding calculus class I'd like to take myself.

I wonder if Jacobs Human Endeavors would work?

Would duel enrolling be an option? You can basically test and then place in a course. Often if you are not going into a science/math field, you take a math course freshman year in college that is basically a review of Alg II and Trig. That might tackle two things at once and get one of the "requirements" out of the way plus have an outside verified grade at the same time (not that that is essential).
