I need some suggestions for a solid retreat for my boys ages 17-21, but not a silent retreat. The older two attended a Miles Christi silent retreat with their father 2 years ago. The few "youth" that we there, were lost after the 2nd day. It was too much silence and not enought instruction for them. My husband, on the other, received many graces from it.

I will take ANY suggestions, even something close to a summer college program, like Christendom, TAC, or Magdalen provides for the 17 year old. But that is not really what I am looking for the college-aged guys.

I need it to be organized and solidly Catholic.

Apostolate for the Holy Family has nice retreats.

I will ask our youth and YA minister for some recs.

If you can get to the Sister Servants in Irondale, AL, they are having a mens retreat coming up. They are fabulous and so are their retreats. Dads and sons are coming to this one together. I don't know if other ones are geared to any one age group but you see samplings of different ages. It can be hit or miss sometimes - dd did a retreat and felt a bit odd being the only person there that was under 50 or so - but the same retreat the year before had been full of young folks. I know the sisters would respond to you and help pick one that would be just right for your children. They do have an internet site now. I just don't know how to link.
