Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

this year? Are you doing anything special? We are having a nice party but haven't decided if we are doing anything formal like presenting a diploma.

I do! Our TORCH Chapter is having a graduation Mass and reception, then the following week our umbrella group is holding the graduation where he gets his diploma.

Peace,
Nancy

Libby is graduating with a ceremony at her music school. The school has 60 seniors graduating, a cap and gown ceremony, diploma (music only, not high school, but it will do for the experience), a reception, and the orchestra plays their last concert with the seniors afterwards. Since the concert won't be done until late in the evening, that will pretty much be it for celebrations!

We will hand her the GED diploma when it arrives in the mail (if she's still home).    Maybe we will barbecue!

Kristin is graduating!! Yay! Yay! Yay!

For those who don't know, she is autistic, and doing high school has been a challenge.

We are enrolled with Clonlara and plan to attend the graduation in MI. She has asked for a white cap and gown (from jostens.com), and we plan a very small party afterwards with her godparents, a friend of the family, her grandmother, her little brother, my dh, and me. We'll celebrate separately in a small way a little bit later with her sisters who have other commitments and are not coming with us.

With older sister #1, we also did the graduation in MI, but she had a much bigger party as she had friends her age in Ann Arbor. She wore a long silk dress and heels for graduation. Older sister #2 did not want to attend the graduation so we went out to eat with her godparents IIRC. Both of these girls got a graduation gift as well as a Rubbermaid bin filled with basic kitchen equipment (my version of a hope chest). Kristin is likely to live with us for a while (years) so no kitchen bin for her. Not yet anyway.

Kristin and I are both relieved at her finally finishing high school. And I don't have to worry about high school with another autistic child for years. Whew! I need a break.

I am so happy!

In Christ,
Deborah

We have our first homeschool graduate this year. Jake graduates on June 15th with our local Catholic homeschooling support group. We had to choose between three different graduations for him to attend, and this is the one that is such a blessing with caps and gowns, Pomp and Circumstance, a beautiful Mass, a beautiful ceremony, a wonderful reception, and the joy of the Lord! He just didn't want to do the statewide LEAH ceremony following the convention, because he knows nobody there, though I'm sure it would be very neat to graduate with many NY State homeschoolers!

We're planning his graduation party on the 29th with a HUGE extended family and 86 people!!!!        What a blessing to have come to this point in our homeschooling journey. It's very bittersweet indeed!

CONGRATULATIONS to ALL of this years' graduates, and their parents for a job well done!!! We're praying for you, and praising God for each of you!

We have a graduate. Betsy will be graduating with our old homeschool group. There will be 8 graduates, a Mass and Ceremony. We will then have a party for her the following weekend. We are very proud of all her accomplishments.

Congradulations to all the graduates and their parents.

God Bless
Robynn

Hit the send too soon -

We did however purchase a graduation ring for him because we wanted him to have something to remember us by years from now. He has been very happy with that.
