Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Any suggestions out there for a Latin III text or program that can be done independantly (i.e. not an on-line course or one geared to a particular calendar schedule) that is less rigid than Seton's Latin III??? My 12thgrader ds has done Henle Latin I and II and wants to knock off Latin III, but he absolutely hated Henle. He is not a strong latin student, but he's willing and hard-working and has done OK with Henle, gradewise. It's just that he and Henle don't really click. That being said, he will do Henle if needs be, but I thought I'd look for something a little, well, friendlier for him. Any suggestions???

Thanks for any input.

OK, I'm bumping up my own post with yet ANOTHER question...Anyone out there know of any great Latin immersion programs or camps where one might be able to get credit? Still trying to think outside the box!

Thanks, Kelly in FL

Hey Brenda,
Sorry I'm so slow getting back. It was helpful to review that old thread, thanks.

Has anyone out there ever used the "Latin for Americans" series? The name sounds a little dumbed-down, but I'm curious about it.
