Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are going on a long trip and need some new stories to listen to. Has anyone listened to the free audiobooks found at Light Up Your Brain and would you consider any inappropriate for sensitive children? Can you suggest any other audio books and sources? Thanks!

Charlotte, do you have time to run to the library? The Ramona books or any Beverly Cleary's are great for car rides. We have also enjoyed any of the Miss Piggle-Wiggle's, any that are narrated by John McDonaugh are hysterical

We also really like James Herriot's Treasury and the Narnia series. Gee, then there's all the Little House on the Prairie books on CD...

I'll stop now. HTH

Safe travels, and many blessings,

I should have mentioned that we have the Narnia set which we love but might need something different occasionally.

I will check the library, too! I love the idea of the James Herriot Treasury and Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. Thanks, Meredith!

Have you checked Librivox? You can download it to your Ipod or MP3 player and play it in the car.
