I haven't read them yet, but I've had my eye on Karen Edmisten's new book Deathbed Conversions as well as Susie Lloyd's new book Yes, God! What Ordinary Parents Can Learn from Today's Vocations Stories.
There are also some reprints of D. E. Stevenson that I would love to add to my home library.
I just bought the whole Dorothy Sayers Lord Peter Wimsey series for kindle for $2 a piece as well as some Barbara Pym novels I had not read. My birthday was yesterday, so dh let me sneak those in a little early on Cyber Monday . I think the promotion is over though

I'm going to get a Sci-fi type of book I remember reading ages ago and only a tiny bit of what the plot was. I've been wanting to reread it, I got a used copy.
And I'm wanting some of the CS Lewis books. Our Church library had them before the fire so it wasn't until I wanted to reread them that I added them to my list.
Also a couple of older Sci-Fi that I'm interested in. I want to reread Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. And I was to read Orwell's 1984. And maybe CJ Cherryh's Downbelow Station (it's a series with Cyteen.. some intersting thoughts on cloning that I wanted to reread.. but in the process I figure I could reread the series and see if it's acceptable for the older kids)
I'd like to add some more Scott Hahn to my shelves
and I'd like to see the "In Conversation with God" that have been recommended here.
There's a book on dating Fabric that I'd like to get for reference.. it helps with determining the types of fabric that were used in different time periods.. great for costuming events.
And didn't someone post about a new liturgical year cookbook?
so many choices...

Top on my list this year: Laurie Bestvater's The Living Page. I'm hoping someone comes through!

I have read lots of good reviews, and it sounds like just the kind of book I like--a meaty home education read. ;)

ah can't get the cookbook and the Living Page is $42 to get here!
So I'm thinking a couple of Louis de Wohl books I haven't got, Citadel of God and Lay Siege to Heaven. Have read a long time ago but I'd borrowed them.
The Core - Leigh Bortins on classical education and Style, Sex and Substance
any thumbs up or down if you've read these?

I pretty much want everything that Justin Press sells (most aren't on amazon...). I'm reading Michael O' Brien's Waiting: Stories for Advent right now and thoroughly enjoying it.

My husband is giving me St. Bernadette Soubirous by Fr. Trochu. I have wanted this book since a priest (one of Jessica's brothers-in-law) recommended it to me this summer. I can't say whether it is a must read, but the reviews are good and I am looking forward to reading it.

I just received a new book I'm excited about, "Nazareth Family Spirituality: Celebrating your faith at home with Catherine Doherty" by Madonna House Publications, October 2013, $12.95, www.madonnahouse.org/publications.

That does sound exciting LeeAnn. This is the second year we've used a Catherine Doherty book for Advent. We've used "Donkey Bells" and we're in the middle of "Not Without Parables".
