I am trying to find a lapbook on the 12 apostles, but am not having any luck. Anyone know of one anywhere?

I don't know of a lapbook but Jody over at Jody's hands on Learning has a large activity board for the 12 apostles.

I personally do not have this one but very close friends do and LOVE it. It is really big but the kids got to know the apostles very well. We have other of her products and cannot say enough positive things about them.

I don't have a resource for a lapbook either but the book The Year and Our Children by Mary Reed Newland has a wonderful section on learning about and celebrating the Apostles. The entire book is absolutely wonderful and it is the book I use the most when I need both inspriration for celebrating feasts throughout the year and ideas for those celebrations.

You might email Lindy at Catholic Lapbooks to see if she is planning one for the future, or put in a request.

Or if you really need it done and can find nothing else you can bop over to

Hands of a Child and order one custom made .

They did this Latin Roots/Catholicas a custom one originally and I think it is well done.

I don't know of a lapbook for the apostles but this site
http://www.ebibleteacher.com/children/toc.htm has some very nice Apostle 'trading cards' (scroll down to Jesus Calls His Disciples for the original twelve, Matthias can be found in the free trading cards section)

I think that these could be used to make colorful flip books for a lapbook. Cplor and add the symbols of the Apostles http://www.prayerbook.com/Bible/Apostles/Symbols/symbols.htm for a finishing touch.

If you were willing to go extra trouble you could make one or more picture books by corrolating these biblical references http://www.prayerbook.com/Bible/Apostles/Scriptures/scriptur e.htm with bibical art Bibical Art- New Testament
