How do you display your children's art?
We put clay figures on our window ledge in our ding/learning room, drawings and paintings on refrigerator and 2 bulletin boards... but it's not enough. Sometimes the kids produce works of art that deserve nicer treatment.
My sil frames and hangs her kids' pictures in acrylic frames. I don't know where she got them, but sort of like these. (I also found these box frames.) I'm sure similar frames are available at Wal-Mart and Target, but I actually visit those places fairly infrequently.
Anyway, I was thinking about making some framed displays, and maybe stringing some clothesline to clip pictures to.
Anyone have any different methods of display?

Each year, I have one or two pieces of children's art work professionally framed. Our local Michael's has done a wonderful job and I wait and get the 50% or 60% off coupons. Our walls are colorful, our children are proud to have their work hanging in our house and it makes me happy to look at their old artwork and remember when they were young. My parents did this with my siblings and my artwork and we are so glad!! My parents are now giving us the framed artwork and they are treasures. My kids all beg to let my old artwork hang in their room. It was money well spent.
For everyday artwork, I use clothesline and clothespins like you suggested. Ikea also has a need product that is basically a wire that you mount on the wall. It comes with clips that can slide up and down the wire and you clip the artwork to that.
The other way we display work I borrowed from Pottery Barn. Basically, I mounted large office clips on a painted board and hung the board on the wall. This has worked well for us because I have several spaces that are not wide and the board with the clips fits in nicely (you can also paint the board any color you want).

Ikea sells acrylic frames that fit an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper for $2 a piece. They also come in other sizes, but the big ones are easy for framing children's work. Ikea frames

Over in this thread this link to a clothespin organizer was shared. I think that could work even nicer for art work than the clothesline. Thinking I might make one myself for this.

That clothespin organizer is neat. I like the idea of framing some too...a friend of mine has some framed artwork her kids have done in their bathrooms, and it looks really cute.
For bigger things, we have a set of shelves in our dining room that hold mostly books, but there is some extra space and we put their projects there. The tricky part is weeding out some of it when the shelves get too full.  I have tried to talk them into taking a picture of an item and letting it go, and they have a fit. So far I have sneaked pictures anyway and gradually pulled an item or three off that I thought wouldn't be missed. I didn't toss them though...they are in a box. I'm afraid someone will notice them missing.

We have always used a nice piece of yarn and some clothespins- string it up in the dining room and hang up the art. When it gets full, or we need inspiration, I file the artwork (reads, put it in a pile somewhere!) and we fill it up again. But the sculpey creations!!! That is a whole nother story!!! They are EVERYWHERE- can you say dust and clay!!

Saw this idea that was basically doing that - taking photos and saving that way.

Nice list!
I have five picture frames and they just get one shot to show off what they want in their own frame. Everything else has to be in their room or in their file. :) (they are welcome to change the art every day if they want!)

We are facing the same challenge right now.
DH and I are building art ledges. How to for them is here.
This will allow us to mix and match different art work, photos, even cards on the ledges, and change them as often as we feel like it.

I would do them without the crown molding, just the basic U shape to it. But still, it's a great shelf. Can be used in a child's room as a front face book shelf too. Takes little room depth wise.
