Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I want to make little color copies of the covers of pictures books we read to post on our world map (a la FIAR). I'm having trouble scanning in and resizing the covers myself. I'm wondering if there is another way to do this. I also tried copying the cover images from amazon.com but I can only get the whole page to print. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Jennifer

Try this...
Pull up the image of the book from Amazon or wherever
Right click
When it gives you choices you can save to backround
After that it can be found in control panel under display and you should be able to resize it.
Does that make sense?
It sounds like a lot but it is really quick.

I find it easiest to get images not from Amazon, but using Google image search. Then just copy and paste them into a word doc and resize them as you wish.

We create our own story dics too. I copy and paste into Word as Theresa suggests. On occasion the boys create their own images on cardstock using colored pencil. We "laminate" our discs with clear packing tape and I use sticky-tac to add them to our map.
