Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This is another one I am considering for my 13 and 11 year olds. This is the Cadron Creek Unit study Further Up and Further In (there is also another book with the same name). I did a search in the archives and found only a little bit of information on it - has anyone used this recently? Did you find it worthwhile? Did your dc like it? Would you use it again?

Thank you in advance!

Tea,

Did you ever end up doing this?

I saw it this weekend at Northwestren Book when I was looking through their homeschool section.

I'm curious too.
We really liked the Prairie Primer a few years ago when we did it and I have 2 sons that are huge Narnia fans.

My 7th grader is using parts of this independently (literature, Bible, Science mostly). It is more like Where the Brook and River Meet then Prairie Primer. She finished up most of her yearly work early and wanted to go through the Narnia books for fun, so this seemed to be a logical step to take. I don't think it would appeal to me as a group study for younger children, although it could be done that way. It does not have a strong hands on element. Did you have any specific questions?

Theresa,

No, I never did end up doing it. Not because I didn't like it, but more because my oldest ds (in 8th Grade) wasn't in the mood to do anything even remotely like a "unit study". What do you think you will do? Did you purchase it?

I picked it up to look at it but no I probably wont do it. I just remember reading about it here or on a blog and then when I ran across this I thought I would ask.
